Distec Announces New Partnership With Axiomtek to Bring Smart Transportation Solutions to the UK Market
September 2023: Specialist technology solutions provider Distec has partnered with Taiwanese industrial computer manufacturer Axiomtek to bring its extensive range of smart transportation solutions to the UK.
Distec has over 30 years of experience supplying specialist technology solutions to the manufacturing, digital signage, healthcare, and retail sectors. This latest partnership sees them enter a new industry, offering smart transportation solutions for the first time.
There is a growing trend for using new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to make public transportation networks safer and more efficient. AI is used across rail and bus routes to analyse everything from predictive maintenance and passenger behaviour to traffic monitoring and public safety. This widespread adoption means the value of the global smart transportation market is estimated to grow from $94.5 billion in 2020 to $156.5 billion by 2025.

This is a railway compliance standard that means equipment can withstand vibration, shock and bump without deterioration or malfunction under its lifecycle. E-Mark is a European conformity mark that proves a vehicle or vehicle component complies with regulations, laws and directives in the European Union.
