As in previous versions, ergonomics is again where the main focus of zenon 7.11 lies. For example, the new “faceplate” screen type provides improved ergonomics and usability in project configuration, allowing the user to flexibly combine various screen types as required.

Ergonomic working is also enhanced through the simplified user administration in zenon 7.11. User details from the Windows domain can now be maintained directly in the zenon Runtime. This significantly reduces engineering and administration efforts.

Advantages of the new global symbol library are shown in reduced maintenance efforts and time savings. It allows contents in the global project to be protected, where they can also be simply and centrally distributed.

Automatic data aggregation also helps to assist the user. Predefined compression profiles for the Historian, considerably support the project engineer when deciding on the archive structure. Aggregated archives are created automatically and the trend indicators automatically select the relevant data source.

Innovations for the process industry

zenon 7.11 brings several improvements, particularly for lot-based production. The lot filter was enhanced so that it can be used for several archives and across the plant. Batch Control in zenon displays “control strategies” as its new functionality, which significantly reduces engineering efforts. In this connection the initial parameters offer a new function, which help avoid errors in production.

Innovations for the energy industry

zenon 7.11 is well prepared for IEC 61850 Edition 2 requirements. Security, as always, plays an important role in the zenon Energy Edition. This is why the command is more clearly designed and zenon is enhanced with a new redundancy mode – the “rated redundancy”.
